Thursday, April 1, 2010 Spitsbergen Island is not a symbol of romance. However, nature chose the largest island in the Svalbard archipelago as the''birth''heart-shaped lake, created by changes in weather systems.
Forms''the heart is something strange,''said Dr. Bryn Hubbard of the University of Aberystwyth as reported by the Daily Mail yesterday (21 / 4)
Lake''love''was thought to arise as a result of global warming which causes melting of glaciers. Several blocks of ice trapped when landslides in the region which creates a hole area of 120 feet and 90 feet. The hole was later filled with rainwater and snow melt until it became a lake.
